What would be a fair price? and is this radio capable of acting as my back up in the F-24?

I think 50% of new is a good place to start
first I would ask How Old is it.
he says New but it could actually be 5yrs old (batteries, warrantee, is it 760 com or older?)
Backup? need to add an external antenna and hope you can plumb into the radio.

Around $200 would be a good deal, I think I've seen them go for about $250. And yes it would make a good backup but a means to connect to an external antena would make it work much better.
