I was poking a new route into the GPS today and had a thought. ( it happens occasionally ) Wouldn't it be nice if I had software at home I could program routes on, load to a thumb drive and then plug into my GPS? Anyone know of such a feature? What would you like to see in your panel/plane.?

Fltplan.com has a feature like that. I'm not at all familiar with it but I've seen emails and newsletters promoting it. It may be with a specific gps model, I don't know.

Others here or the web site should be able to tell you more.

I thought that was one of the features between Foreflight and Aspen in that announcement last year.

As Nate mentioned, ForeFlight can send flight plans to your panel if you've got the Aspen Connected Panel - Cool stuff.

Also, fltplan.com can generate files which you can drop onto an SD card and put into the G1000. Sadly, the procedure for importing a flight plan from the SD card on the G1000 is so knob-intensive that you might as well just manually enter the plan most of the time. :frown2:
