I think if they would have put about a thousand lbs in the bed of that Chevy the VW wouldn't have faired so well.

A couple hundred pounds probably would have been enough. Even the difference between bedliner and no-bedliner on the rear wheels was incredible when I got my line-x put in.

All four wheels were clearly smoking at the very end. It just didn't have the single wheel traction control the Toureg had. If he could have locked the transfer case coupling, then it would have been a different story.
