I have ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura), which is an auto-immune disorder that causes a drop in the platelet count. At a time, my platelet level was at 6,000 per mm3 and now I am stable around 115,000-130,000. Will this allow me to pass my Class 3 Flight Medical? Other symptoms I have include fatigue, which is not severe, and headaches, which are completely controlled on a preventive, Topiramate.

Topamax is prohibited according to the AOPA site, hopefully Dr. Chien will see your post and suggest a way for you to get around this. Migraines?
Good luck with your quest.

Topiramate (Topamax) is a prohibited medication due to some very subtle cognitive issues with the drug.

ITP well controlled, without any steroids, is certifiable. :)
