My CFI emailed to say he didn't have a Sunday student, so, could we come play? Hubby flew under the hood to POU. We turned around, and I flew back to BDR. Added 3 landings and 1.1 to my logbook. Big deal, you say? Well, it was the first entry in several months. Glorious day.

Very nice...was the weather as nice as it was done here in the South? It was a picture perfect weekend for flying down here...

I was on the ground from June first until late September...I know how you feel!!!

Wind 230 @ 17 G ~22 (I don't remember exactly)
Overcast 4000, 10 mi visibility with enough moisture to make everything kind of fuzzy.
Foliage is changing color, but mostly just from green straight to brown.
I did enjoy just looking out the window at the lakes and hills. It wasn't bumpy, but somehow my DG kept wandering off the heading bug, first one direction, then the other. Altitude stayed pretty steady. Side-loaded one landing, but the other two were smooth and soft. Instructor didn't mention anything except the side-loading. I buy the tires, so it is my problem. Wind on the ground grabbed my hat and gave me some extra exercise.

Odd you say it was beautiful there. Briefer in Miami was complaining about pouring rain where he was and wished he was up north with our gloomy skies.

Any day flying is a good day!

Nice high pressure system over NC over the weekend...we had a front come through today and looks like a few days of beautiful weather again...I get to take my mom up in the new plane today...
