It's so simple. Don't file when you have headwinds or else everyone you know will see how slow you are going. I always make at least 175kts across the ground, unlike some people who struggle.

While burning nearly 25gph? ugggg... I saw 99kts ground speed at one time, used the gps to calculate winds.... 55kts on the nose.

I never file, but I never go particularly fast. Helps to have a fast airplane.
