...who have we lost from Poa? I don't mean those banned, suspended, or that have quit, but lost lost.

The mention of Tony and Moxie today got me thinking about it again.

Do we have a remembrance list anywhere?

Bob flying helicopters in the oil patch.

I have a member on my friends list that I knew IRL that passed away but was non-aviation related. I asked the Admins to black ribbon his profile (or whatever they do) but ... nothing happened so I left it alone.

I didn't mean their death had to be aviation related.

I know we lost Bob Bruneau, Moxie, and Tony S to cancer.

Moxie
Mike Schneider
Tony S
Bob Bruneau

I get a bit choked up every time I think of Bob Bruneau. He was such a fine gentleman. I really do miss him.

Bo Boggs.

PoA (thanks to Jesse's assistance) hosts Bo's awesome journal.

Or, maybe, Jesse hosts it.

Whatever, it is here: http://www.bo-boggs-journal.com/

And I know Jesse made that happen; Troy and I got CDs with his archived journals when we went to visit Bo and his red-headed wife Sandra, not long before he passed. I so thought he'd beat it (and I think Troy did, too).

Here was his post telling us of his illness, and his last flight. I tear up every time I read it. Bo faced his affliction with grace and courage. http://www.pilotsofamerica.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56284

We have discussed having a memorial page to our friends flown west, and hope we'll do it soon.

Only met Moxie once, but boy she made an impression. Only the good die young.

I was wondering about this today. I now know a slew of pilots thanks to POA, but I've not heard of anyone auguring in (thank Odin). I thought perhaps we were a safer bunch due to our constant aviation interactions keeping our noggins sharp.

I do like this idea.

It's always good to remember ,those that have passed,it s a good thing to keep their memories alive.

There was also the Glasair III builder who passed away earlier this year, Todd Copeland. Seemed like a really good guy. I really enjoyed following his build thread.

Whoa... He did?

Todd A. Copeland passed suddenly Monday, June 22, 2015, at his home in Pittsburgh. Todd was born in 1968 in Wenatchee, Wash., and graduated from the Eastmont School District. While serving with the Navy during Desert Storm, he met the love of his life, Dana. After serving, he and Dana moved to Pittsburgh where he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He was a success in business and a devoted family man. He was also an accomplished pilot and had plans to race an airplane he built in the Reno Air Races. He was preceded in death by his mother, Susan. He is survived by his father, sister, wife, Dana, and two teenage daughters, Susan and Lauren. He will be remembered fondly by the many lives he touched.
Visitation will be from 1 until time of service at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at THOMAS M. SMITH FUNERAL HOME and CREMATORY LTD., 930 Center Ave., Blawnox, PA 15238.

Bad with names. A guy with a P210 from Malone, NY.

I haven't seen John Lancaster mentioned.

There was also a guy who I believe was a fire chief, but his name escapes me at the moment.
