I know no one gives a crap, but I am psyched! It was my goal to fill this one and I only have the last four pages empty (plus two spaces in the rest - and that is it).

I just learned the last four pages cannot be used. I learned this in seeking visa information for my passport.

So, when I head to France in a few weeks, stamp stamp - done! Filled!

You can always have additional pages added in.

For your next passport you can order one with extra pages already bound in. I have a 40+ page one this time and with only 4 years to go on it I am only now getting close to filling it up.

Cool. I cross the border many times but I only have one stamp in my passport. I couldn't believe the agent at KIAD actually stamped it since we were in a GA airplane. I don't go to nearly as many interesting places as you but it would have been cool to have a stamp from Japan or Russia.

You can have one of my Japanese stamps!

It is fun getting them though.

I had to renew a security clearance not too long ago and one of the question was to show all my international travel. SIGH! I got out my passports and started copying down as much as I could figure out. It was cool seeing some of those old stamps, like for Brunei and the older PRC VISA, etc. What was annoying was where I would have two pages of stamps for a week of travel. I would arrive in Singapore, get a stamp. The next day drive to Malaysia, get a stamp leaving Singapore and then a stamp for entering Malaysia. Stay a few hours, meet with customer, drive back to Singapore getting a stamp to leave Malaysia and then a stamp to enter Singapore. Next day do the same thing all over again except meet with another customer. Then on the third day fly to Indonesia, get a stamp for leaving Singapore, one for entering Indonesia and then the next day get more stamps for returning to Singapore. Then the next day fly to Hong Kong, get a stamp, take the bus to Shezhen and get two more stamps, stay for a couple of days, come back to HK get two more stamps and then leave to come home and get a HK exit stamp and a US one. It can be crazy with the stamps.

Yeah, I hear stamp seekers really don't like traveling through Europe. Once entering the Schengen group, once leaving the Schengen group, and none going intra-Schengen.

In perusing a few online sources, I am seeing warnings about being "that close" to full.

I have two very clear empty spots next to each other, and given that a number of stamps overlap each other on other pages I bet the next guys could find spots elsewhere if they wanted.

Should I get extra pages, STAT? I leave in a few weeks which means it would be cutting it close.

This is trip number four out of the country this year and no one batted an eye previously and clearly I was getting close to full.

Cool! There is potential for my new job to take me out of the country this year. I should probably start the process of getting a passport. What's the time frame for the whole process these days?

You are fine for now. When you return go through the adding passport passages routine. no need to rush it for now.

4 to 6 weeks.

Is this your first passport? Expect it to go to longer of 4 to 6 weeks.

I had to have extra pages put into one passport. I had it done at the embassy in London.

Enjoy your trip!

I was down to only 4 pages after this past month's travel when I was in France, Spain, Hong Kong and China. I also needed a new VISA for China and that took up a whole page too. I sent in all of my stuff on 21 Oct and my passport was returned today, the 31st of Oct. I did not send it in for a rush replacement either. This was the normal channels.

Wow. Could you imagine how quickly you'd have had it if the government wasn't run by a bunch of inefficient mindless dolts?:yikes::D:D:D

You can get a passport in a few days if you're willing to pay the bucks. These are the people my company uses for visas, 2nd passports, etc.

Dear Elizabeth.

Regards,

your friendly neighborhood Steingar.

Since I got Global Entry, it takes twice as long to fill my passport (no US stamps) & the benefits of bypasssing the lines is wonderful. Used to have UK's IRIS which likewise made life much, much easier on frequent trips to the UK.

Still, it's a pretty good accomplishment.

You do not even need to go through those places to get one quickly. The Passport application has direction, with appropriate fees, to get it done quickly. I have used CIBT in the past to do things quickly, especially for China VISA renewals. All they do is have a person that brings in all the passports for the clients instead of me going to the office to do the work.

One thing I freaking HATE about travelling over Southeast Asia is the visa normally takes a whole, entire page. My passport is only a couple years old and now I need a new one. Or I need to add pages or something.

Most times when you have to obtain a VISA prior to travel it is a full page. I multiple China ones, India, Brunei, Korea (work), Ireland and Egypt. That is why I get a 48 page passport from the get go. Just with VISA I can load up 10-15 pages before I ever really travel anywhere.

Update: I did fill it. Done. Finito. Now I have to get a new one, especially if I think I might be crossing borders any time soon. You never know.

Glad to hear you met your goal. If you ever need to have another page filled stop on by and I can fill a few pages for ya. ;)

Congrats Elizabeth! That is a big accomplishment!

We want more trip photos!
