Hypertension controlled with 4 medications

Anyone know if first class is available for someone needing 4 medications to control hypertension. Otherwise healthy and no secondary causes. Just wanted to see options.

I think it only depends on the meds. Make sure none are on the faa unacceptable list. There are many pilots on blood pressure meds.

I don't know about 1st class, but IIRC the limit for regular (CACI) issuance for 3rd class is 3 acceptable medications. More than that I believe is an SI. Again, 1st class may be different but I can't imagine it would be any less stringent. Dr. Bruce will have better info if he's reading this.
 
Had 1st class for many years. On 2 medications, always issued the medical without any problem. Just make sure you report it on the medical form.
