All my car enthusiast friends are sharing this on the facespace. Apparently holley has designed this fuel pickup that's basically a mat and can draw fuel from as long as a little is touching it.

I immediately see an aviation application and elimination of that "unusable" fuel...

Wouldn't help me. My tanks slope to the drain. The 1.2 gallons of unusable fuel in mine are all in the couple of cubic inches of space occupied by the sump/strainer at the bottom of the tanks, the fuel lines, and the filter.

That is very cool! I wonder how long it lasts? Looks like something that would deteriorate over time.
