Happy New Year! Get the new year started right by beginning your Private Pilot training.
Already a rated pilot? Check out our newest rental aircraft C172 N172KD, recently upgraded to be fully ADS-B compliant in and out. N172KD has a Garmin GTN650 that displays ADS-B traffic and weather. If you haven't flown with the ADS-B traffic yet, be sure to give it a try. You'll love it!
Private Pilot Ground School begins Tuesday, January 17, 6pm
Ground School Classes are held in the Executive Flight Center conference room at KMDQ
Huntsville Executive Airport, 358 Bolling Road, Meridianville, AL 35759
beginning January 17, 6-9pm
This 12 week course will teach you about becoming a Private Pilot. Topics will include:
Aerodynamics and How an Airplane Flies
About the Airplane and its Systems
Aircraft Instruments and what they mean
FAA Rules and Regulations
Airspace
Navigation and how to use Aviation Charts
Aircraft Performance Calculations
Communicating with Air Traffic Control
Weather and its affects on you as a pilot
Cross-Country Trip Planning
Materials and tuition cost is $425.

Upon passing this course you will earn the endorsement required to take the FAA Knowledge Exam and be on your way to becoming a Private Pilot!
And Remember!! Once you have taken ground school at Executive Flight Center, you are always welcome to retake the course or drop in for a few classes to review for FREE!!
beginning at 7:30 am.
Our training and rental airplane fleet includes:
- Cessna 172 with Garmin 650 with NEW ADS-B in and out!
- Cessna 172 with Garmin G1000
- Cessna 172 with Garmin 430W GPS
- Cessna 162 Skycatcher Light Sport
- Piper Warrior with Garmin 430W GPS
- Piper Saratoga with Garmin 530W GPS, traffic, XM weather
Once you have earned your Private Pilot certificate you are qualified to rent one of our airplanes for personal trips and fun flights.
Build qualifications and experience with the Instrument Rating for the more advanced aircraft.
