Looks like ATAC lost another Hunter Hawker on approach into Pt. Mugu around 5 today. Pilot did not eject and passed away.

There is a 24 hour hazards TFR TO PROVIDE A SAFE ENVIROMENT FOR ACCIDENT INVESTIGATION.
On the VENTURA VOR/DME (VTU) 277 degree radial at 3 nautical miles. (Latitude: 34º08'02"N, Longitude: 119º06'19"W)
Radius: 2 nautical miles
Altitude: From the surface up to and including 2,000 feet MSL

Glad I gave a couple something to correct, my day was a success.

NTCSB posted preliminary findings with no cause yet - will take time. Hopefully not a repeat of the one 2 1/2 years ago in Mugu downwind leg, couldn't transfer fuel, engine quit, below 1000 ft. Hunter has a hydraulic control system which quits working when the engine fails - change over to manual controls takes 5 to 10 seconds.

"1. a system of government where those least capable of leading are elected by those least capable of producing and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or to succeed are rewarded with goods and services paid for with the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers."

I believe that is called Social Security.

Cheers

1) Sad loss of life.

2) Damn, we have some miserable human beings posting to this forum.

And a whole raft of good ones.

---

Sad thing for the pilot, the family and the service.
