Hey everyone, I am taking the cog test on July 9th. The last test I took a couple of years ago was incorrect, so I am not sure what to expect on this one...I am currently on testosterone, but I have not been to a psychiatrist or anyone else to get diagnosed with gender dysphoria. My AME says I do not have to tell the FAA that I am on HRT, but someone else told me I should because it would be falsification on my application. My AME has told me as well that he is not up to date on the HRT because they took off the gender dysphoria section from the FAA website. I am an NGPA member, and the only lgbt friendly AME in Texas is in Austin and San Antonio, but she is booked up for the next month. I am not sure how to tell the FAA that I am on HRT, do I send a note or my lab results as well...

Can it just be listed under the drug section without comment?

Your question is not so simple.

Is this background accurate?

1. You applied for a medical and were deferred for mental-health history.
2. You failed the cogscreen and the neuropsychologist suggested therapy and medication.
3. You started taking testosterone.
4. You're planning to take a new cogscreen.

What happened between 2&3 and 3&4? Have you applied for a new medical or are you still in deferral? What diagnosis is associated with the testosterone?

Yes, correct, the only reason why I "failed" the last "cogscreen" was because for one, they never informed me that I was being timed, and second it was the wrong test. The attorney for the FAA contacted me when I filed an appeal and was the one who told me that the test was wrong... I do not have a diagnosis of gender dysphoria, but was still able to get on HRT. I applied for a new medical but was still denied due to my past history of SSRI usage.

Someone prescribed you testosterone, and they did for a reason. That visit, the diagnosis, and the testosterone will all need to be disclosed.
This.....
And this time go to a listed neurospcyhologist, not to the cheapest non-aviation-not-on-the-list, cogscreen liscencee.
"We see this".
