You are flying along just minding your own business when the gearbox on your #3 engine packs up.....the chunks take out #1&2. :hairraise:

Ain't no way.... I can't believe they did not have a chips light LOOOOONG before that happened and simply were too stupid to shut it down.

I built those gear boxes for over 12 years, they will give you a chips light on material as small as a sliver 1/64th, by 1/32nd. Stupid Arabs don't even has a word in their language for gearbox.

Classy response. I have a few hundred hours sitting next to the American who was the contractor IP in the right seat when this let go. He's not stupid. You, however seem to be a real tool. :nono:

That's a bad one. Ouch.

Kinda like the 767 high pressure turbine oil system fault at KLAX several years ago, that resulted in an uncontained engine failure. That not only took out the other engine with bits of compressor, it also took out the center fuel tank and lit the aircraft on fire. I'll bet the FOD search on that one really sucked. In case you're not familiar, there were no injuries from that, but the aircraft was a write-off.

Sure they do. Don't you feel silly now?علبة المسننات

I wonder who taught them they needed a new word?

I taught Saudi students in many classes on the maintenance of the T-56.

This failure is a failure of the front case half, there have been 3 such failures in the engine history, all exhibited symptoms prior to the separation, which basically allows the prop to leave the aircraft.

the prop was the object that did all the aircraft damage.

One of VQ-1's P-3s had a Mig fly thru the #1 prop and the prop never left the aircraft, these things are built so robust they will not fail with out developing a crack long prior to the failure.

So don't give me the BS about instantaneous failure, there is way too much documented evidence to the contrary.

Good job on your bud, for saving the 130.

Roll it around in bacon grease, it'll be mostly all right...
I once asked a Saudi interpreter if he wanted to stop for hamburgers, he says "NO they are made from pigs" I told him that the ham and cheese sandwiches were pretty good too. he was good with that.

we were on the way to see them off to their home. I never saw him again.
