I've seen a couple of threads started (most recently the "it's valued at about $2") with no content and no "report bad post" button.

Am I simply not seeing it? Is there a mechanism for reporting such posts/threads?

Couldn't you click the red triangle that is under the name of the person?

If you are using tapatalk, you tap on the post in question and you should see options to quote/copy/share, or report.

Ahh, I see the thread now, that is a strange one. Only option I see is can click on ignore thread.

I've seen a number of these lately. It seems like I've reported some of these in the past without issue, but I'm not seeing the report icon either offhand. Maybe just user error on my part. *Edit* Ah, I guess it's because the post itself isn't there...which is normally where the report icon shows up.

The thread "Most Expensive Apple Watch Product: is such a thread. Also, if you hover your mouse pointer on the thread title some very strange text appears: Download this, download that.....

Is it in the spin zone?

I don't see the term "valued" (at least with the $2 reference) show up in a search I requested to be blocked from SZ - so those posts don't show up for me.

The Apple Watch one is in the Feedback and Support section.

Huh, it won't allow a post with less than 5 characters, but it allows a thread with no post? Might be something Jessie did as part of a test fixing things over the last bit.

What's all that "download" crap when you hover over the title without clicking on it? It looks ominously dangerous.

I'm surprised people other than mods could see it. The post about the apple watch was in moderation. Now it's gone (hopefully).

Well, there are a couple of these bogus posts that show up and are visible to the masses.

Current examples are:

Wonder Woman holding a sword
Getting older that we wanted to share.

Now there's a post "Cyber defense umbrella over" with the same "Download...." text only when you hover over it. What's up?

Curious minds want to know.........

Odd. That one is also in moderation, too. Something screwy with system settings - will have to check on it later as I'm headed to a meeting.

I just deleted it but I agree there must be something strange about the settings because it was already in moderation.

Another one!
"Digital camera with a massive"

Any clues what is causing this yet? And more importantly, is there any threat to us if we open these threads? The text you see when you hover over the mouse shows a bunch of lines that start with "download"! I hope it is not downloading anything to my computer.

It would help the MC if you simply reported these posts using the bad post icon (white triangle with red border) rather than reporting them in this thread. I deleted this last one but I am not the IT specialist here so have no idea why they are getting through.

I see the threads on iOS, but I never see any secondary functions like that.

Along with "a bit of red herring". Curiously, all the "download" stuff that shows up when you hover over with the mouse is the exact same for both.

I don't see the triangle for these posts. That's why I go to the bother of finding this thread and describing it. I am using Firefox on Windows 7.
If you would prefer I stop reporting them as I see them, that is ok too.

That was one of the interesting anamolies that started these posts here, the "bad post" triangle button on all these threads is missing.

You can keep reporting them here if you don't see the bad post icon. However, the MC doesn't necessarily check this thread regularly.

The problem with this class of posts is that the bad post icon is not available.

Seriously, why do you think experienced users have posted in this thread if the bad post icon was available?

Seriously, I can't see what the posts look like to the general users. To me, the posts look like they are in moderation already.

There seems to be some hacking going on.

MS Security Essentials found its first malware ever on my computer a couple of days ago.
