I'm looking at weather for tomorrow morning and there's a good chance it'll be IFR. Looking at the charts, the airways stop at about Barter Island. Should I just expect to be given GPS direct, or are they likely to let me stay north of the coast so I can stay low in case of any icing?

I’d stay low and file direct, leaving at say 0800L seems like you’re going to want to stay under 7k, I also probably would want to at least not have surface IMC so you could drop down a scud run along to coast if it got too cold for IMC, personally non FIKI in areas where you can pick up ice I’d prefer low level VFR, after PABA not many good outs till your destination.

FltPlan.com’s auto route did come up with
PASC WIMAN V438 JEKPU CYEV, but I’d still stick to what I said above if it were me.
