Run over it with the FBO's aircraft tug while setting up for an airshow.

At the Denton Air Show, we were moving the Skylane and the V35 Bo out to the ramp for static display. I was riding on the tug (the FBO guy was driving) and had hopped off as we slowed down to marshal the Skylane into position.

What I didn't notice was that the iPhone had worked it's way out of my back pocket and when I hopped off it fell to the ground.

Normally, a fall from 3-feet is no big deal. But when you immediately follow the fall to being screen down, squashed by the tire of the very heavy tug, and then ground into the asphalt as you come out the back side, you are now well and truly dead. No flesh wounds about it.

Oh well... I've been considering upgrading to the 5 and more storage anyway...

sad to see that ........

Ps....... those grout lines on the sink are grungy......

Dude, you're a salvage man! You'll get full retail out of that pile of crap in no less than three months! :D

Disappointing this was.

But this was offset very well with the succees of our soft launch for Denton Flying Club. A good crowd was at the air show. We had lots of people come up to our tent and talk to us about joining and getting instruction. We said yesterday that if we got 10-15 names on our info request sheet, we would claim success. We ended the day with nearly 40 names.

I should have bribed Kimberly to stay another week. She would have signed up the entire crowd.

Just take it to the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store and let them know you're having a little trouble with your phone. When they point out the damage to the phone, insistently respond "...uh, no...I'm pretty sure it came that way..."

First time at the Denton show for me. Nice people, and we had a great time. (I was there with the PT-19)

I had to take my IPhone 5 in last night after dropping it off our deck. It would have been fine but it hit a few hard things on the way down that shattered the screen. To top it off it ended up bouncing into the pool.

But thankfully my lifeproof kept it from getting water damage.....

It tried to commit suicide by knocking itself senseless and drowning. :D

Wow.

My toddler dropped my phone into the dog's water dish. I wanted a new phone anyway.

Ouch. I lost my iPhone at Oshkosh year before last and used the FIND MY IPHONE app on the lap top to hunt it down. It was located face down right in front of a Beech 18 I was helping push into position earlier. Fortunately it as undamaged by it's excursion.

ugh, there are guys who will replace that glass for $79.99 . . . then see if it works.

Thanks... but I went the upgrade route on Sunday. Now running on a iPhone 5.

Got the Otter Box case this time.

Not really sure an i5 would be considered an "upgrade".

Now, had you bought a 'droid...

:wink2:

Thanks, but I can't even sell avgas raffle tickets to local pilots. I'm not as good as you think.

That'd be a fun web page... Strangest places I've found my phone with Find My iPhone. ;)

I was at the local watering hole with some friends a while back, had a pitcher of beer on the table and we were telling tall tales when my buddies phone rings and we all could audibly hear his rather unhappy wife giving him a good rundown on all the mistakes he's ever made in his life. He just nonchalantly reached over, dropped his phone in the pitcher, and went back to his beer. Best laugh we've had in a while...

I'm sure that marriage is going to last long. Not.
