(It would be awesome if folks read this article, then sent this thread into the spin zone with their responses...)

His first couple paragraphs appear to me to violate his very first guideline.

Otherwise he seems to cover things I believe are taught in rhetoric and logic courses. I've never taken any rhetoric classes, but I had to take logic and philosophy as a college freshman.

Sometimes insults are appropriate - when the objective isn't argument so much as it is communicating.:wink2:

I remember when facts used to matter in debates; don't seem to carry much weight today.

Having read his Facebook page (reference within the article) I have to say this guy comes across as a tool.
