How NOT to take off from a beach

That was a perfect example of an accident looking for a place to happen.....

It's hard to tell from the video - but it almost looked like the curve of the beach was causing him to head towards trees and he corrected to the left. He probably figured since he was able to putit down on the beach he expected he'd be able to take off from there, too.

He only needed a couple of inches. Not nearly the dumbest thing done in an airplane on a daily basis imo. Read something from the cub folks that operate off beaches about heading downhill towards the water first then turning uphill with speed. There is a bit of a trick to it, guessing if he had aileron input taking weight off the water side wheel he might have made it.

I didn't listen to the audio; what "engine failure" caused him to land on the beach in the first place? Couldn't have been too serious if he could fix on the beach.

It was a "blocked fuel line" that he fixed after some "tinkering".

Maybe it would have been a better outcome had he left the other pilot behind?

Wow wild
Video they do
Things so easily there here in nj there would
Have been police FBI FAA the whole world there before they just let them
Fix it themselves and take off again.

They had a bad day.The beach landing should have given them the idea it was not their day.

Where do these poor planes find all these idiots?
