How much is aircraft rental at your FBO?

Renters policy protects the renter not the owner of the airplane. Not a viable strategy at all unless you don't care about liability coverage and don't care about whether or not you'll get paid if something happens to the hull.

Unless you get it with hull coverage too. It covers the plane if the renter screws up, but not if the plane screws up.

It's a risk / benifit thing.

Worked great with the for my school.

88$ hr. For a 152

113$ hr. For a 172

All wet, plus tax

Right, and you need to prove the pilot was at fault, insurance is there to defend them and claims against them, not to defend your loss.

Worse than the hull is the liability side. No liability protection what so ever if the owner gets sued for something the airplane was involved in.

I'm sure some are ok with those risks but most aren't.

We looked into it and were happy with it covering a renter screwing up, plus some of the case law with waivers in CA in addition to what we had on the books, and the hull value compared to what we paid for the plane.

WTF?!

That sounds like Galvin, they used to have their logo screen printed on the apples in the lobby lol

You should look up Raineer Flight Service, realistic prices and good folks, owner is a Alaska Airlines guy.

Or drive north to Harvey

Or if you can deal with BS, join BEFA.

Yes, it is Galvin, or Landmark now. Only problem is I'm further south in Lacey and like the G1000 platform. I've thought about Rainer since its almost the same distance away, but really don't feel like new checkouts again. :/

Next time you need a BFR or something use it to get checked out over there, the owner, Gordon, is a good guy and most everyone in the FATPNW group have nothing but good stuff to say about Rainier, biggest thing for me was their CFIs experience level.

FWIW I did my primary training with Rainier Flight Service back when they were still a 2-person outfit at BFI. I'm still alive :) and would be happy to answer questions.
