Anybody ever own, operate or contemplate owning or operating an airport $100 hamburger joint?

Not me Charlie. I've known too many people who ran restaurants, some successfully, some failing. It's a hard work and the profit potential is about the same as the rest of aviation.

Takes a special individual to make an airport diner work. When the restaurant starts to make money the town usually ups the rent. Have had two successfully diners go out of business ,due to greedy town management.

Sounds like making a million dollars running a skydiving operation. Start with two million!

As a data point, the ones that do well seem to have more drive-up local patrons than fly-in pilots.

You will be seriously hard pressed to make it work off pilots alone.

Kinda like when I thought it was a good idea to buy a **** ton of Washington Mutual Stock as they were floundering.......

Bad idea sport.....bad idea.
