Hot Air Balloon Passengers Enjoy Crashing into Powerline

A hot air balloon descended unexpectedly in a field in Orland Park on Sunday -- grazing a power line along the way -- but 13 passengers walked away unscathed

I think these are the guys who are often flying not far from the pattern and land at my home base when the wind goes that way. They get in the way. One morning I had to drive into the mud to get around their van because I had the nerve to want to go to my airplane at my airport. The airport manager and others often shoo them away.

I remember one flying through the pattern at my old airport (KVAY). Makes flying the pattern interesting.

It'll be a cold day in hell before I go up in one of those things. Maybe the same day I jump out of a perectly good airplane...
