Hi All,

I was driving past an air base the other day as a stream of FA-18 Hornets were returning after a sortie. I only wish that I could've photographed the noise as they passed overhead. :)

Hey it's 35 AOA. :)

A couple years ago the Blue Angels put on a show in Charleston harbor. My office is on Shem creek just off where most of the routine was. They used Shem creek for lining up and for 3 days before the show I got to watch them scream overhead for several hours a day. It was almost as good as the show itself. Can't wait for them to come back.

Friday I was out just outside the harbor during a lesson at about 2000' and a C17 went by right underneath at about 500'. When he banked at about 30deg it looked like his wingtip could almost skim the water.

Looks like an Aussie Hornet.

Not me.....I haven't flown before sunset in weeks :)

Though it does in fact appear to be God's chariot, and not some lesser Hornet family product *coughSuperHornetcough* :)
