I went to make a sandwich today and realized I grew holiday bread! It tasted a little funny.

I was wondering if it's worth anything? It's been aged to perfection under my careful supervision.

Wow, I've never seen bread turn all the way green! If you hadn't of found it, it mighta got up and walked away.

Imagine what the first people thought of cheese!

I don't see the issue.

Green bread, 50 lb bags of Purina Bachelor Chow, and beer, the standard single guy diet.

One time in Biology class the teacher asked us to bring in moldy bread to examine under a microscope. I remembered some stuffed in the back of a cupboard, so I brought it in. It was about the same color and consistency as Jesse's. About a quarter of the way through the class my bread got banned because there were too many mold spores to actually see the mold. I took it as a compliment.

//The real question is why I knew of the existence of the moldy bread, but never took the time to throw it out.

Hi Jesse & Scott-

I got a sandwich bag for you guys:

Make some egg salad out of these century eggs for your holiday bread.

BTW I have eaten these things. They are a preserved egg that is very popular with the Asians. They taste a little different than fresh eggs.

Umm...no thanks! :vomit::vomit::vomit::vomit:

Scott, the more I learn about you the more you scare me!

That looks just plain awful. I think I'll stick to Cocoa Puffs.

When you do business in China the Chinese will test you by feeding this crud to you. If you do not eat it they will consider you weak and unworthy to do business with. After eating things like century eggs, jelly fish, sea slugs, chicken feet, caterpillars, deer penis, snake blood, etc. you get used to the idea that it all tastes like rubber and is not a big deal. Then the Chinese will make you drink a lot to see your mettle. If you are really unlucky karaoke follows.

At one memorable meeting in the Communist Party banquet hall in Lioning province I had dinner with the provincial telecom authority. We drank a lot and then had to sing. He wanted us to sing a song in English. So without batting an eye I broke into the theme from Gilligan's Island as it was the only thing I could remember.

Oh, Lydia, oh, Lydia

the encyclopedia......

Oooooooh
Lydia oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia,
Lydia, the Tattooed Lady.
She has eyes that folks adore so,
And a torso even more so.

Lydia oh Lydia, that encyclopedia,
Oh Lydia the Queen of Tattoo.
On her back is the Battle of Waterloo.
Beside it the wreck of the Hespherous, too.
And proudly above waves the Red, White, and Blue,
You can learn a lot from Lydia.

La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la

When her robe is unfurled, she will show you the world,
If you step up and tell her where.
For a dime you can see Kankakee or Paris,
Or Washington crossing the Delaware.

La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la

Oh Lydia oh Lydia, say have you met Lydia,
Oh Lydia the Tattooed Lady
When her muscles start relaxing,
Up the hill comes Andrew Jackson

Lydia oh Lydia, that encyclopedia,
oh Lydia the queen of them all!
For two bits she will do a mazurka in jazz,
With a view of Niagara that nobody has.
And on a clear day you can see Alcatraz.
You can learn a lot from Lydia.

La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la

Come along and see Buff'lo Bill with his lasso.
Just a little classic by Mendel Picasso.
Here is Captain Spaulding exploring the Amazon.
Here's Godiva but with her pajamas on.

La la la, la la la, la la la, la la la

Here is Grover Whalen unveilin' the Trilon.
Over on the West Coast we have Treaure Island.
Here's Najinsky a-doin' the rumba.
Here's her social security numba.

(whistles)

Oh Lydia, oh Lydia that encyclopedia,
Oh Lydia the champ of them all.
She once swept an Admiral clear off his feet.
The ships on her hips made his heart skip a beat.
And now the old boy's in command of the fleet,
For he went and married Lydia.

I said Lydia (He said Lydia)
I said Lydia (We said Lydia)

La La!

I'm surprised none of the conservatives have jumped in with "You are what you eat" or the like yet. ;)

Well that is why this is eaten. They believe it improves manhood. I gotta tell you the presentation is well, unappetizing to say the least. It is a large phallis on special altar like serving tray. There is no doubt about what has just been served. It is cut and then people pick up a piece and plop it there mouth. The taste reminded me of cow tounge but THANK G-D FOR BEER!!

This is a dish you get in southern China, Guandong region. They eat just about anything and is where the famous snake restaurants are too. There they bring a live snake out and do a littel ceremony with it, remove the gall bladder and mix it with some Moutai (Chinese strong liquor) and you drink it. The snake is taken in back and cooked up. The taste of cooked snake is not bad at all. The gall bladder is one that I can pass on.

In Taiwan they have some stuff called smelly tofu. The stuff smells like the worst body odor you have ever run into but the taste is not too bad if you can get past the smell.

But balance this all against one of our favorite food, rotten milk or as we call it cheese.

Or escargot (snails), calamari (squid - or called "bait" in Newfoundland), fois gras (fatty goose liver), or my all time favorite (NOT!) - head cheese!
