I wonder if the homeless crisis in San Francisco is because all the businesses there only hire the best.

I’ve used that knowledge to scare off a couple of candidates that I knew wouldn’t be a good fit before they got past me to second or third interviews. Haha.

I had an interview, eons ago, wherein the "host" taking me around was talking about their success with a particularly sleazy method of taking advantage of less well educated customers. I stuck it out, the interview, but wrote 'em off.

Another was a cattle-call; a quick handshake, a less than genuine greeting, and then shuffled off to take a test; it was clear, but unstated, that they'd grade the test before we continued. I did take the test, passed it, then was escorted to a waiting room. Excused myself, and walked on out. This was later in my career, with experience and success well documented.

Short version, both organizations failed their interview with me.
