Does anyone know of a place where I can find something like monthly averages of winds aloft data? I have found a site with monthly averages of individual stations at the surface, but Im interested in upper air movement.

thats a good start, but it seems that it is pretty much a day by day history. I was hoping to find some info that would give me the average winds aloft for a particular month, over the course of several years. Be able to identify what time of year to expect the strongest wind in certain directions.
