Hip replacement....

I have Avascular Necrosis (top of the femur bone loses blood supply- causes arthritis) and will be getting a Total Hip Replacement soon, probably January. I am a 31 year old police officer and was looking forward to starting helicopter flight training for my PPL soon. The surgery will completely fix the condition with no adverse affects.

Will this cause problems for me and my FAA medical????

Jim, The hip replacement surgically cures the localized arthritis.
