Hilariously wasteful charter flight

I flew my Mustang to LA to pick up some wheels/tires once*

Better example: I know someone who has a G550 and occasionally uses it to fly the tiny family dog (as sole passenger) from one house to another across the country.

* not entirely accurate as I needed to be in San Diego anyway and so I just added a stop in LA for the wheels.

Many years ago an R5D (DC-4) from Pt. Mugu CA to Douglas AZ for booze
Moron de la Frontera Spain to Gibraltar for English woolen cloth. And many other illicit uses of Uncle Sam's gasoline.

If you don't want to watch: Blown 53 inch 500 poundish tire on the front of a former military 7 ton 6x6. Replacement from another truck didn't fit in 1st helicopter. Had to use a Blackhawk. Got it to the truck and the wheel didn't fit - right tire / bolt pattern - wrong offset. So, take off one of the rear wheels put it on the front (rear axles have independent suspension). So, no need for any helicopter - replacement tire just ends up going for a ride on the bed of the truck. Second front blows out later on, gets replaced by the rear from the other side as the first.

Note: Contrary to the thumbnail, the tire was inside, not on a sling.
