I'm sitting here awaiting my annual serving of Coquilles St. Jacques. And, it looks better than ever this year.

My cholesterol has gone up by at least twenty points just smelling the wafts as they come out of the kitchen!

Oh, but it is indeed! That's why it's a once a year treat...twice on the outside.

Yesterday we tried Emeril's version with a few modifications (double the Gruyere cheese and double the scallops). It was quite good but not as good as Chris' original recipe that she's been making for me for almost thirty years.
