So I'm sitting here looking at the pictures in the Windwood thread with the 11:00 ABC news on the TV and I hear the News Anchor say something about lucky dogs. I look over at the TV and there's Ted and the Aztruck! It was just a teaser for the upcoming stories. I'm waiting for the full story. Should be coming up soon.

Update: Just watched the story. It showed the Aztruck taxiing in and Ted unloading some dogs and then talking about cloud nine.

The story didn't mention anything about Cloud Nine waking up the entire population of Davis West Virginia on it's way to pickup the dogs ;).

Ted you might find the story on http://abclocal.go.com/wpvi/index

Man.. With all this publicity, Ted's 6Y9 photos will soon be worth some $$$ for places like 'Access Hollywood':

"... and here's Ted with two unknown females at a dive bar in 'da UP. It's a far cry from the current 'digs of the now-famous jet-setter ..."

Thanks for the link, Ben!

Now if only they remembered to put the website in...

Nice coverage. They even managed not to mangle your name too badly :D

They have the website at the bottom of the article, just not in the video.

Great Job Ted! Glad you were able to visit, and thanks for the flight Saturday!

Ted --- the Puppy Pilot,What? On Tv again.
Next thing you know your gonna be asked to be on Dancing with the Stars:rolleyes:,make sure they don't team you up with "Lassie"
Have fun in the limelite, remember chicks dig guys with puppies:yesnod:

Holy S**T 15 dogs on one flight...sorta begs the question...
Do you have to put down newspaper?

Excellent job Ted...can I volunteer to do this sometime as well? But I don't think 71D can carry more than a couple of smallish dogs.

I would be a horrible person to have on dancing with the stars. Remember that that I'm a worse dancer than my dog. ;)

This flight was actually 17... they got the number wrong. I have a number of cages that I fit in the plane (sized very well). Remember that with that number you have a number of puppies plus several very small dogs.

ARF would love to have you! They're set up much better for pilots looking for shorter trips than what I do and smaller missions with fewer animals. Check it out! www.animalrescueflights.org

Good for GA, and good for you, Ted! Another reason I wish I had a plane...

Look for the new series "Ted" on the Discovery channel!

Well, on October 16th the episode of Rescue Ink Unleashed that I participated in will air. Not sure I'll be in it, but considering how much time they spent in my plane, the plane probably will be. ;)

That's cool, I've seen the show advertized, I'll have to look for it. You came off well in the interview at PNE. Good publicity for the cause.

Ted, you need to update your website with a link to this video; I didn't see it there.
Also, your site says that you've received only $60 from 2 contributors. I hope that isn't true! (Or is that only for people who used the "ChipIn" applet? Not really clear.)

Yep, website's going to get updated with the new link. The ChipIn widget only counts money donated through it, so donations have been better than that would indicate, but have tapered off some, and still weren't enough to begin with. Part of that is that it's gotten more difficult to get media attention, and the media reports haven't been as good about putting the website up as they were originally. It's difficult to get coverage as we aren't a "breaking news story" (except on a slow day) and you have to end up talking to the right person who wants to see it get on the air. However the interviews have been better (I think).

Still learning a lot - I'm new at this. :)

Have you looked into corporate sponsorships? Nestle Purina, Pedigree, Eukanuba, PetCo, etc.?

Oh yea, I did see a pic of you with two big guys on either side w/ a rescue dog in front. Keep up the good work!

I told the bulldog rescue I'd could do a flight or arrange one some time in the future.

When they shipped Bubba from MO to Decatur, IL, they drove halfway and handed him off in Hannibal.

As in my original Pancho story, it was a 6 hour drive each way and we stopped overnight in Des Moines.

I figure it would be a 3 hour flight at most.

Those are all on the list. I haven't had a chance to work on them, hopefully this week (after I fix the squawks on the Aztec).

The dude does have a full time job working for some company that makes tractor engines or some such.
