Here's one way to avoid spam

I've had a Sam's Club membership for many years. Generally, anytime I've had a membership to anything, I'll get spammed until I "unsubscribe". But not Sam's, I never get anything from them.

Last night I was looking at ordering something online, it was out of stock locally but offered free shipping. I entered my member number and had to verify address and e-mail. Up popped my Compuserve e-mail. Yeah, that would explain it.
