Here's One for Henning . . . .

I appreciate the restoration/preservation of the old girls, and can see the point in building some of the cool old girls again, but I just don't get why people build replicas of boats like this.

And,

"We have nothing that demonstrates our past that you can touch," said John Bradford, a board member of Maine's First Ship. "There's no symbol of our shipbuilding heritage."
