Last night my wife finally got home from her business trip (Denver - Kansas City).

She did say they had to circle for weather, so I looked up on FlightAware.

Yeah, I can see why...

The stuff they launched out of looked even worse!
Nah - it was OK in Denver when they left, that wx is what they were headed into when they were landing.

They diverted down to the south to skirt one batch of wx, waited a while, then came into KC on the backside of that line of t-storms. And those were some heavy storms, too.

Looks like they held for quite a while over the Emporia VOR, then again halfway between EMP and MCI. I don't know what's there, some fix, JHAWK maybe?

I am impressed, they got two different holds.
 
I am going to try to one-up you Matt, no Holds, But a few extra states involved.

That's some pretty impressive "sniffing" for an opening.


Kinda makes me feel puny for having to avoid that one low cu that was parked at the base-to-final corner.
