Here's a New Tax Twist

Today, from the City of Auburn, Maine I received the following memo:

Dear Jerry & Lawreston C. Crute:

As of today, we have not received your excise tax payment in the amount of $54.9 for your aircraft based at the Auburn Airport

Interesting. I've owned a hangar which has housed my a/c at Wiscasset Airport since 2005, and pay the excise tax at Wiscasset. )

Did you stop off at auburn ,when they where checking numbers?

Annuals are always done at Twitchell's Airport. However, did have some minor maintenance done at KLEW when Twitchell's was knee-deep in getting the fleet's annual wheels to floats transitions done. KLEW was an overnight stay.
