It's a beauty! Good luck.
If you can get a few pictures of it in sunlight with a contrasting background the colors will really pop and it'll show better.

Sun ? what's that?
These pictures are the only ones that are resent, with the trim on. they were taken in the hangar as you can see, it was raining like _____.Oh! Right! You have to wait for July. I forgot.:wink2:
I just know I've seen better pictures of your airplane and it's really a beauty. Those pictures do not do it justice.
Best of luck with the sale.

what's a KNS 80? Certified GPS ???? or what?
KNS 80 = RNAV unit. A VOR/DME unit that allows you to "move" VORs.
Certified for enroute and approaches ?

A KNS80 is a very useful IFR nav system with two VORs and a DME. You can do oodles of approaches with one around here, but not GPS approaches, for which you need a GPS. I had been thinking of sticking one in the Free Bird, as they can be had inexpensively (everyone is ripping them out of their Bonanzas to install the latest GPS gizmo).
I doubt I would make the trade, as I don't think a Long EZ is worth what the OP is asking for that drop-dead gorgeous Fairchild. I'd buy that Fairchild in a New York minute if I had 70 large sitting around not doing anything.
Is it advertised anywhere but Barnstormers? Never know where the customer for such a beautiful thing might be looking.
The KNS80s can be had cheap, the CDI to attach to them cannot since they work with Garmin and other GPS units. This is why you'll almost never find one for sale with the indicator.
The installation is already there, so the upgrade would be ????Yup, that's what kinda soured me on one. That and the installation costs for the units.

I was referring to the EZ, what would you replace the 80 with? seeing as the indicators is already there, and the antenna of course. Is there a slide in ?Putting the unit in the panel. Then putting in the indicator. Then the relevant antennas and connections. By the way, I was referring to my own airplane.
The worst of it is I'd be spending thousands to put in old equipment that could easily become obsolete any day now.

Nothing that I'm aware of. If you wanted to pull it, the good thing is that you should be $1,000 closer to putting in a GPS since the indicator should already work with it. The KNS80 is a good unit that some people still love to fly behind. Better than just a NAV and has DME too. They're just really not worth installing considering the functionality you'd get out of a bottom end non-waas GPS for similar money. I'd let it stay unless I had bigger plans for the panel space.
I have a very interesting full price offer from a guy in Switzerland, had a few questions which included how we could transfer funds.
I told him to call me, that was 2 days ago, no calls.
obtw the number he gave was a good number. ( Berne Sw. no answer)
What's up with buyers these days. do they really enjoy jerking sellers around that much?
The EZ is looking better and better.
Just getting even with the sellers.
Shoot, Tom. I dunno. An EZ just doesn't seem like a fair trade for that beautiful ship.... But if it fits your mission and you'd be happy with it, then go for it.-Jim
There is only 1 thing for a buyer to remember, do you know what that is?
