Pilots, your help is needed! A critical meeting is taking place THIS Wednesday to consider reopening Agua Caliente airstrip in Southern California. This paved airstrip was administratively closed and we have a chance now to see it reopened.
We ask that you comment in support of reopening Agua Caliente before the meeting at 9 am on September 16. Even if you’ve never flown into Agua Caliente, you have a stake in how state park land is managed for public access. You don't need to live in San Diego County to have a say on the future of this state-owned recreational asset.
Your public comments count. Remember to use your own words when writing comments; templated comments are seen as one comment, not individual submissions. Personal comments are counted as individual comments, so please take the time to make it personal.

Here's a line for personal comments in support of reopening: Public Comment Link, agenda item 6

There is still time to make an online comment in support of reopening.

The board passed the agenda item to further explore options for funding the reopening. It's a step in the right direction at least, but the funding could be problematic. Thanks to those that commented.
