Years ago I had a special book about the Battle of Britain but I lent it out without keeping track of to whom I lent it. Now I would like to replace my copy but I don't remember the basic title and author so it is hard, isn't it, to find the replacement.
A couple interesting distinguishing characteristics might provide clues. It was a narrow format book published in Great Britain and it had only a single column of text on each page. The large margin on each page was used to show reproductions of actual documents from the period. Some of those documents were memos from the training command or the fighter command and such. Some were copies of letters to or from the pilots. It was probably the most personal and often heart breaking account out of the several I have read.
