Just joined and wanted to introduce myself. I'm Shane Winn, A&P/IA out of Panama City, Florida. I have had my A&P license since 1988 and have held my Inspection Authorization since 1996. Over the course of my career I've worked on everything from Super Cubs all the way up to the Falcon 2000 and everything in between, including the Bell 407 helicopter. I currently teach A&P students at a local technical college and recently received my FAA DME appointment which allows me to issue O&P exams to students who have completed our program.


I also run Winn Aviation Records & Research — I do remote pre-purchase logbook and FAA records reviews for buyers before they commit to a pre-buy inspection. It's something I kind of fell into over the years after seeing so many problems hiding in maintenance records.


Looking forward to participating and happy to help anytime maintenance records or documentation questions come up.

Did my first trip to Panama City yesterday. Seafood at "The Sandbar" was very good. Hope to go back soon.

Parents as well as my sister and her family live in Panama City Beach. We occasionally fly in to visit them, but typically drive. Door to door time is about the same for us since we live relatively close. And welcome to the board!!!
