Helicopter skydiver drop goes bad!

The guy with the camera who did most of the work retrieving the pilot chute/bridle is over on dropzone in the thread on the subject there.

The event took place in the UK.

The argument on the jumper getting back in would involve him, BEFORE getting back in, making sure he was detached from the rig as well as before that disconnecting the RSL (a line that would have potentially depoloyed the reserve inside or in the door of the chopper as well making the matter worse).

Compounding this is the fact that the chopper was packed pretty darn tight. The parties involved did note what they could have done is have the other two inside who had good (undeployed) mains and reserves to go out the other side while the rest was going on.

The helicopter is descending. The person involved said it was about 2000' when they got everything secured.
