Helicopter Rescuing a P-51 (sort of)

Gotta love how the guy in the left seat is smoking while flying :). At least I think he is.

But regardless, it's fantastic!
 
Where I work we have a private runway. Well, we had a Cirrus try an engine-out emergency landing that fell short of the runway a few hundred yards. Thanks to the marshy brush (brushy marsh?), the Cirrus landed fairly softly and flipped over, leaving the single pilot unhurt. We used one of our Bell 412's to sling load it onto a flatbed trailer for transport...free of charge, much to the Cirrus pilot's relief. I heard the cause was fuel exhaustion, but I do not know for sure.

That was a nice job. A nice steady hover and he compensated well for the shift when the guy reached out and got the plane. I've never flown a R22, but it looks very responsive.
