My PCP said he heard a heart murmur and ordered an echocardiogram. The results of the echocardiogram are "Normal transthoracic echocardiogram". Doctor never brought it up again. Another doctor I visited later said nothing about a murmur when he examined me. I am sport pilot now, so I don't need a medical. I am planning to get a medical. How do I report this on the application?

18G: heart or vascular trouble, is the line I questioned. I don't think this is heart trouble, but I don't know what the FAA considers. The catch all 18X: other illness, disability, surgery; is the other box I do not know if its appropriate to check. Since my records will show the echocardiogram, I'd rather be upfront about it and not be waiting for a surprise letter. It has been so long since my last medical. Everything was still on paper back then.

You'll report it and send in the echo at your next medical. If it sez what you think is sez, the AME will yawn an issue you......
