In my first medical in 2012, I passed the hearing test without my hearing aids. However, due to kidney stones, my medical was deferred. Based solely on my history of wearing hearing aids, Oklahoma marked my first medical with "Must use hearing amplification" in the limitations section. This is hardly onerous, as the headsets I always wear qualify.

I just renewed my third class medical. So easy this time! In and out, cert in hand. This AME and I chatted about my hearing aids, so he was certainly aware of them. I passed the hearing test again in the office without them. The limitation does not appear on my new medical.

Is the limitation actually gone? Can I expect a revision from Oklahoma within the 60 day deadline? This is more academic than anything...I always wear a headset. But I'm curious.

Heh. Question answered. My AME called me and said they forgot to check a box. The limitation is coming back.
