just learned (13 days from deadline) that the company chosen (by my long respected advisor) won't cover us while at work. Have to buy WC ins too, if we want to go with them.

BCBS took such a bath in Tx they are trimming back coverage so much it will be unusable to us. (ie wont cover our docs, facilities)

Others wont cover us if we leave the state.

I've always had to carry both work comp and separate medical when I've been in business for myself. Consider yourself lucky if you've been able to combine them up 'till now.

Of course...I'm in Missouri and in construction...a far cry from being in Texas and veterinary med.

I'm no one's antitrust expert, but that sounds like an illegal tying arrangement. What is their market share?
