I can't find the original thread on offering to fly support and such. One suggestion was to contact Angel Flight because it has the infrastructure in place, but the officers are a bit dislocated at this point.

As an update, I just received an email from Josh, director of AngelFlight West with more details:

"Our counterparts at Angel Flight South Central have been in contact with FEMA, the Red Cross, and the local County Judges offering help for flying supplies, relocation, and blood/tissue flights when and if needed."

So I would suggest contacting AFSC to offer assistance.

More details about air help. ACA (Air Care Alliance) is coordinating efforts, read the article here for details and links

There's also an Emergency Volunteer Air Corp

Pilots n Paws is also sending out a request for larger aircraft to help the large collection of animals. PnP understands that most of us have smaller aircraft that really can't handle the weather (altho it is beginning to let up) nor do many of us have the experience to deal with state of the various airports. But any and all assistance helps. If those with larger aircraft can get the animals out of the Houston area, then those of us with smaller airplanes can ferry from there to final destinations.

As a side note, Colorado CAP is sending 4 teams (182s) and the Gippsland (G8) to Texas in support of the Texas CAP photography mission. No, I'm not going. My students would love it if I left for a couple weeks, but the dept chair won't
