I'm stationed at Eielson, been there for 3 years now. How'd you like it there?

Dude, thought you were in Alaska.... Be well and happy Turkey day.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

Our son is stationed at Ft. Lee, Virginia right now, and we will miss him terribly today -- but we're proud of his service, and thank you for yours!

Loved it. Was there from 12/79 to 4/83

Have Been back three times now

Well, lots have changed since then as you can imagine... The A-10 squadron is moved to EDF (Elmendorf). That occured roughly 5 years ago. Aero Club closed it's doors 4 years ago, commanders found it to be a liability to their promotion I hear... We still host Red Flag Alaska, base is still small, and Fairbanks is still, Fairbanks! Where in the state did you vist? I've made it to (Bettles, Tok, Manley, Minto, Denali, Anchorage, Valdez, Glenn Allen, Talkeetna...) still am trying to make it to Barrow and Unakleet.!

The A-10's arrived about a year before I left. I was on the QC team that inspected the TOSS (target optical scoring system) out at Blair lakes that scored the 30MM on the A-10.
Hunted and fished a lot while there and I had all the good toys, Three Wheeler, Dirt Bike, Road Bike, Snow Machine, and a 4X4 with trailer to haul the toys.

Used to frequent Valdez on the road bike. Did make a 60 mile boat trip down the Yukon to the village of Rampart with my boss. His wife was Athabascan. Met George Attla on that trip as well as Susan Butcher. Trip of a lifetime for me.

Thanks for your service and Happy Thanksgiving.

I was stationed at Eielson from 98 to 2002. Loved it there, though I don't miss the cold. You've got to go to Valdez and visit Valdez heli camps. That was a blast if you like to ride in helicopters and snowboard.

Turkey's in the smoker, the family is gathered, and we're waiting for kickoff. Thanksgiving Day in America -- I love it. Just please be safe -- http://eater.com/archives/2013/11/27/turkey-explosions-2013.php

You love me then. Just dropped the first turkey in about 5 mins ago. I had a little bit of an oil overflow but nothing to bad...

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone

T-day Safety Tip #1: Alton Brown's overflow prevention system is to drop the turkey in the empty fryer, add water to the proper level, pull out the turkey, and mark the level of the rem1aining water. Then dump the water, wipe the pot dry, and add oil to that level. Piece of cake

Yum Yum, gatta love Air Force DEFAC Gobble Gobble Meal!

Everyone Enjoy! God Bless!
Looks like you've got all the major T-day food groups covered, even if it's not the most memorable presentation. In any event, thanks for keeping the watchfires burning.
