In Ft. Worth area for work. After dinner I thought I would swing by AFW just to see what was going on. Lucky me, THIS is going on.

Ugh, they left it out on the ramp again. I told them to tow it to the hangar.

AN-124 is pretty cool. You should see the AN-225 in person. It's insane
 
Saw one in OH a few months back. It makes the PC-12 look like a joke.

The Mriya was parked on the north side of McCarran for a couple of weeks back in the 90s. I managed to get onto the ramp so I could ogle it.

It's big.

My dad got to ride on one for business :D

Unfortunately he'd kill me if I showed proof. He said it was pretty uncomfortable and the ladder was really steep.

An124 btw, not the 225.

Yea, it makes the C-5 look small. They have another unfinished one sitting at Sviatoshyn Airfield in Kyiv. Doubt it will ever be completed, unfortunately.

As much as the one flying sits around, I doubt it too unless the current one crashes. There's only so much business for it.

I didn't know anything was at the airport until I rounded the corner and saw the nose opened up. I had hoped it was the big guy, but obviously wasn't. Still pretty cool, though.

Yep. I was the only yahoo that stood out there fighting the mosquitoes until it departed. Must not have been much of a load - it only used about half the runway. I took a video, but it was too dark to see anything useful.
