Happy 2024!

The last few years, all the network and cable stations time-delayed the ball drop. I used to watch it and then go to bed as my usual time--at 2100 in the Pacific Time Zone. It was disappointing not being able to watch it drop. Well, this year, CNN decided to run it live. Not only did I get to see the ball drop, but it was worth watching to see Anderson Cooper dissolve into uncontrollable giggles over someone in a cat bar in Japan and the unabashed celebration of gayness that permeated the show.

I couldn't. Apparently the someone was John Mayer. And it's a bar full of cats...like Felines. 2024 isn't looking up.

I can't for the life of me imagine what's unfavorable about that combination.
But then again I'm a cat person who enjoys the occasional beer (or sake, as may be geographically appropriate in this case)
