Had a Never Again moment yesterday

Our plane just happened to have a JPI with fuel flow/totalizer that's tied to the 430. It's interesting to have statistics like gallons to next waypoint, gallons to destination, reserve gallons, nmpg, etc. Not necessary, but fun.

Works for me. If the PO on my plane had installed both servos, plumbed them right, connected the instrument and calibrated it I wouldn't remove it.

I sometimes wonder, if like airbags it lets pilots cut the reserve closer than they would if they relied on gauges, power/mixture settings and a timer.

Not me, I'm a wuss and always tanker plenty of fuel. With my little family of three, I can go full fuel (64g) and still have 110# for luggage. 64g goes a long way in a 201.
