Apparently, he's a jerk too. Either way, he's in Albuquerque (or was last night) and he flew his Beaver in from Lake Havasu to Albuquerque. He jumped out in his bathing suit, rudely demanded they fill him up, and then disappeared for hours, leaving his Beaver right in front of the FBO.

I didn't even know he's a pilot.
 
I can see it now:

KG: "What do you mean you moved MY airplane from in front of the FBO to keep from blocking the door!? Don't you know who I am!?"
FBO Desk Person: "Yes. You're Kenny G., which is why we put your plane on the other FBO's ramp."

That's what they make tugs for, so you can move the airplane.

Kenny's not a jerk (a subjective description in any case--he may have been in a legitimate hurry and the line guy may have been having a bad day)...

I know his dad personally (Moe), having worked with him in business in Seattle. Both he and his father are nice guys. Teresa and I got front row seats to his concert with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra... he came down off the stage, walked up to us, and played TO US with eye contact for a good three minutes... VERY cool.

Did NOT know he was a pilot or owned a Beaver. That makes him even cooler. :yes:
 
Around, 1990, when I was a line guy at HFD, he flew in on a cross country with his instructor in a Glasair. He seemed nice enough back then.

Kenny and his wife have a home in Friday Harbor Wa, and I have had several conversations with him at the airport, He seemed very nice. His beaver is a very nice one, and his wife is beautiful too.

Have you ever been in a hurry?
