Odd premise. My dad was a tool and die maker for Republic Aviation, Fairchild Hiller, etc. Man could do anything with his hands and passed some of that on to me from a young age. As a result, I always like doing things with my hands and my mind and I guess that means STEM to an extent? Ended up as a civil engineer, retired, and now I'm a part-time A&P mechanic. TV had nothing to do with it.
